After Asia: Back in the USA

We have clearly taken a hiatus from updating on our lives lately, so here goes my attempt to catch up.

So there were two reasons we ended our overseas adventures. First – Brandon’s brother Scott and his (now wife) Christina were getting married in the Dominican Republic. The wedding was awesome! Figuring out flights from Bali to DR, not so much. But we made it!

Second – My brother Daniel was getting ordained as a rabbi in LA after 6 years of dedicated work. It was an awesome weekend full of family time and a quick stop at Disneyland!

Ordination

Both were incredible, beautiful events and we were so thankful for the time to catch up with our families. But then we were back in Dallas to catch up with friends and get our house ready to be put on the market. We were not quite ready to go back to “real life” yet, and were wanting to find a new place to call home. We loved our time in Dallas, but wanted to find a place that was a bit more green, and a bit less of a concrete jungle. So we planned a road trip to explore the Pacific Northwest of the US, with a few stops along the way.
